Yoga, I have the same issue with Excel office 2016 for Mac version 10.13.4. Full error message: Process: Microsoft Excel 58348 Path: /Applications/Microsoft Excel.app/Contents/MacOS/Microsoft Excel Identifier: Microsoft Excel Version: 16.12 (0103) Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process:??? Hello, The Office team has determined that there may be an issue with some recent update files which may be causing these issues.
To resolve them, please follow these steps: 1. Launch Terminal 2. Run the following command: codesign -vv -deep /Applications/Microsoft Word.app - you can replace “Word.app” with whatever app you are unable to launch 3. Wait for the command to complete, after which you should see the following message: “ /Applications/Microsoft Word.app/: valid on disk /Applications/Microsoft Word.app/: satisfies its Designated Requirement” 4. If you see these messages, close Terminal and launch the app. It should successfully launch. If you do NOT see these messages and instead get a list of files, continue to the next step.
Follow the steps on to uninstall the apps that are failing to launch. Download and install the latest production version of the app that you have uninstalled. Word 2016 for Mac -. Excel 2016 for Mac -. PowerPoint 2016 for Mac -. Outlook 2016 for Mac -.
OneNote 2016 for Mac - Updating to an Insider build may cause you to run into the same launch issues. If that does happen, start again at step 1. If the first 3 steps do not resolve the issue for you when you try it for a second time, we would recommend not updating to an Insider build at this time. The team is working on resolving this issue in a future build, but we do not have an ETA for when that might be at this time.
